The four papers above were inspired by my love of disc golf and the desire to see it grow in popularity and participation. I grew up playing ball golf and have been playing disc golf for over 25 years. After traveling and playing on hundreds of courses around the country, I formed my own ideas as to what it was that was holding the sport back and what it might take to bring about meaningful improvement.
These observations and suggestions were originally written about 8 years ago. I recently decided to revisit them and publish them for the rest of the disc golf community to read. In putting them together, it was my intent to highlight the aspects of the sport that I thought most needed improvement, while also giving suggestions as to how to fix them. In offering these suggestions, it is my hope to stir up dialogue amongst disc golfers so that we can truly make the whirld of disc golf better.
We are playing the best sport on earth. Let's make it that way. Simply click on the title page to open each paper and thank you for taking the time to look at them. Please feel free to respond with your comments or suggestions and by all means, please pass them along as you see fit.
